For now since I haven't read the first series, the Fourth Element Trilogy which I believe you can still get the box set in Amazon Kindle for free. I feel my rating may change if I had read that because obviously a lot had happened in the first three books and I still didn't care enough for the characters in the story.
It's my fault for not double checking that it's a continued series. All I saw was the cover, the summary that looked intriguing, and the one that said #1 of Fourth Talisman. Nonetheless, Nocturne delivered what I was looking for when I signed up for it, intrigue, well developed and fascinating world.
